Wiz Khalifa Sued By Aspiring Rapper Who Claims Song “Most Of Us” Is His

Wiz Khalifa is heading to court, An aspiring rapper has come forth claiming the song “Most Of Us” belongs to him.

According to a lawsuit obtained by The Blast, Dustin Bennett (who raps under the name Cymple Man) claims he made an album in 2010 that featured a song called “Most of Us.” Bennett claims he copyrighted the song that March.

Fast forward to 2012, when Bennett claims he met Wiz at the Salt Lake City International Airport. Bennett claims he gave Wiz two copies of his demo CD, which included the songs, in an effort to see if Wiz would be interested in collaborating.

Bennett says he never saw or spoke to Wiz again, but in 2016 the rap superstar released the album “Khalifa” which contained a song called “Most of Us.”

Bennett claims that Wiz lifted the “essential lyrics” of his song, as well as “the refrain and chorus.”

“Both tracks have the same title,” the lawsuit claims, “the exact words ‘most of us’ appear approximately 80 times throughout the Khalifa song, and Khalifa used the exact lyrics in an exact manner as Bennett by introducing each refrain in the same style in the Khalifa song.”
