Love And Hip-Hop reality star Mendeecee Harris will not be getting out of jail anytime soon. A Federal Judge has denied his request for early released. Harris, who pleaded guilty to a drug- trafficking charge back in 2015. will serve out the rest of his 8-years.
According to a legal document obtained by IAmKimGraham, The United States Courts of Appeals has denied his request and reaffirmed last year’s decision by the U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci Jr., who refused Harris request for a reduced sentencing.
Harris, 39, appeared on VH1’s reality TV Series Love & Hip-Hop New York with his Long-time partner Yandy Smith. Until he turned himself following his conviction.
His appellate lawyers argued that Harris played a “minor role” in the drug trafficking conspiracy. He also allegedly turned state’s evidence on his co-conspirators — and he believes his prison sentence was too harsh.
Today’s ruling means Harris will serve out the rest of his 8-year sentence.
Ive been told I didn’t have what it takes by people I needed encouragement from most. It hurt. But it didn’t stop me. It made me want to prove them wrong. God put a fighter in me. Never been the smartest girl in the room, the most verbally eloquent or the prettiest however many times I’ve been the most resilient, the most ready for the struggle and the one prepared for the fight. #stillstandingStrong #thebattleIsNotEasy #GodsFavor #OhbutGod . .
